Minitex Home Hand Machine - This unusual machine given to me by a friend - the date of purchase was Dec 1954 - so it comes in as one of my oldest machines,,  I have never seen one quite like it - it has a strange way of knitting ie using sinker posts.   The way it operates is similar to a garter bar,  the cast on comb has to be lifted i to knit off the stitches - it would have taken the patience of a saint to operate though I suppose it was innovative in its day - made of brass and enamelled it looks like an elongated bullet.
